Blue Mountains Route Clearance

Blue Mountains Route Clearance - Perfect Contracting's project

Project Details

Location

Blue Mountains, NSW

Client

Continuum Alliance

Sector

Rail

Perfect Contracting completed demolition and construction works for Blue Mountains Route Clearance – Continuum Alliance (CPB, Lend Lease, Transport for NSW joint venture).

The scope of work for this project involved:
  • Station cutbacks required trimming back sections of the existing platform to clear the new, wider trains. Over two kilometres of the platform were trimmed;
  • Station buildout required installing precast concrete panels to ‘build out’ sections of the platform to bridge any gaps deemed unsafe by TfNSW. Almost eight hundred metres of precast panels were installed.

Hundreds of workers, fourteen subcontractors, three principal contractors, one joint venture and eighteen months of meticulous planning came down to just eight possession weekends to finish all work.

All on heritage listed train stations, all on time and with zero LTI’s or remaining defects.
