Perfect Contracting completed removing the pedestrian stairs at Canterbury Station for our client Haslin.
As a result of the station’s renovation, the stairs were deemed unnecessary and had to be removed in a way that minimized disturbance to the station’s daily activities and ensured the safety of everyone involved.
The scope of work for this project involved:
- Removal of the pedestrian stairs;
- Secure all necessary permits and approvals from local authorities;
- Disconnection of stairs from the existing structure;
- Lifting stairs clear of the building using a 400-tonne mobile crane;
- Transport of stairs off-site for disposal;
- Monitoring the safety of all personnel on-site and passengers at the station;
The removal of the pedestrian stairs was accomplished within the allocated budget and scheduled timeframe. The project was completed with great care and professionalism, resulting in a clean and unencumbered area that could be repurposed for other uses.
