Perfect Strip Out & Demolition completed commercial demolition work in Redfern Tower at 1A Lawson Square.
The scope of work for this project involved:
- Strip out of the entire 12 levels of the office building back to the concrete shell, each floor being 500m2;
- Demolition and removal of 4 sets of lifts across 12 levels;
- Removal of all existing joinery, floor finishes, ceiling tiles, topping slabs, carpet tiles, floor tiles, redundant services and cladding back to base;
- Removal of all the hazardous material within the building fit out as per the report, including friable & non-friable asbestos throughout the ceiling space within the services being demolished;
- Investigation works for the new footings & columns strengthening;
- Structural demolition, alterations & back propping for the basement level & ground floor which involved the removal of concrete load bearing walls & double brick walls;
- Demolition of 12 bathrooms, remove floor tiles, wall tiles, ceiling tiles, fixtures and joinery, various concrete cutting for a material hoist 200mm thick;
- Cutting and demolition of sup stand walls for material hoist;
- Removal of render/cladding from 4 columns from all 12 levels;
- Removal of all redundant equipment, single brick walls in the basement;
- Saw cutting and removal of a section of the concrete façade to allow for the installation of a new hoist across 12 levels;
- Loading up skip bins and sending them to disposal.
