Track Sawing – BMRC – CPB

Blue Mountains - Perfect Concrete Care's project

Project Details

Location

Blue Mountains, NSW

Client

CPB

Sector

Rail

Perfect Concrete Care completed specialised wall sawing for our client Continuum Alliance at several stations in the Blue Mountains area.

The works covered stations such as Leura Station, Lawson Station, Blackheath Station, Medlow Bath Station, Lithgow Station and Katoomba Station.

The scope of work for this project involved:
  • Cutbacks of the platform with our Tyrolit WSE1217 Wall Saw
  • Vertical wall sawing on the existing coping edge
  • Horizontal wall sawing on the existing coping edge
  • Marking out the area with Hilti Laser Levels to make accurate cuts
  • Installation of the track for the wall saw on the coping edge
  • Installation of the wall saw rail onto the opposite side to make the horizontal cuts.

The goal of the work was to install precast panels that extend the platform. The team carried out all work without incident. New precast panels could be installed before the station was open again on Monday morning.

Our client was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of our team members and the quality of the work carried out.
