Perfect Contracting completed remove hazmat in three freestanding accommodation buildings and a fourth attached to an officer’s mess at Holsworthy Barracks base.
It was almost exclusively non friable asbestos containing material also lead containing paint and synthetic material fibre.
The scope of work for this project involved:
- Removal of 3000m2 of flooring;
- Extracting 3000m2 of asbestos floor adhesive;
- Removal of Synthetic Material Fibre insulation/lagging;
- Abrasion of lead paint;
- Demolish internal linings;
- Works to span four individual buildings;
- Recycling 70% of the material.
Five weeks passed without incident. All works were completed as per the SoW, and all hazmat was removed & disposed of in line with the EPBC Act 1999.
