Perfect Remediation and Refurbishment completed remediation of the heritage listed Muswellbrook Water Treatment Plan.
The scope of work for this project involved:
- Asbestos removal and follow-up remediation;
- Cleaning up fecal material waste (biohazard removal) using a biohazard bubble so as to avoid further contamination;
- Structural alterations;
- Sealing and loading waste into a lined Perfect skip before being tipped as per EPA regs;
- Craining out of friable asbestos silos gently;
- Loading silos into Perfect skips, sealed, and disposed of with EPA tracking numbers;
- Demolition and rebuilding of whole towers;
- Modification of major trusses;
- Remedial roofing works – waterproofing the entire roof and re-sheeting because of the huge damages caused by termites;
- Heritage façade retention and remediation – grouting of cracks and delamination; rendering of chips and other damage, repainting all building to heritage spec.
